Our ingredients

To make our food, for a 12 kg bag, 10.6 kg of meat is dehydrated so that it can be better incorporated into our kibble. With the right amount of vegetables, fruits and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for dogs.

Buffalo

At Yourdog, we use meat from freely raised and grass-fed buffalo. Known for its creamy, fresh flavor and rich color, buffalo meat is packed with vitamins and minerals. With lower cholesterol and fat and fewer calories, this tender meat is packed with health benefits.

Poultry

At Yourdog we use duck, chicken and turkey which together provide a delicious taste and aroma of the kibble. The highly digestible proteins in the poultry ensure good muscle building and are rich in vitamins and minerals.

Vegetable

To provide the dog with additional valuable nutrients, super-healthy vegetables have been added to our food. Thus, vegetables are not only nutritious, but also have other healthy properties. The crude fiber in vegetables is good for the intestines and can contribute to digestion, among other things.

Fruit

We add a unique combination of fruits to Yourdog, giving the dog all the essential, natural antioxidants. So fruit can be good for the dog's immune system, but it can also contribute to fresh breath or maintaining healthy digestion. These natural ingredients promote the dog's health.

Herbs

The healthy herbs that enrich our feed come from plants from Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants and seaweeds, among others, traces its origins back thousands of years. These ingredients support natural processes in the dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient we add to our dog food is carefully selected for its positive properties. Depending on the dog's size, breed or breed group, ingredients are given extra attention. Breed-specific complaints can be reduced through the use of herbs, roots, flowers and plants.

Airedale terriër specifieke groente, kruiden en fruit

Wij hebben zorgvuldig de raseigenschappen van de Airedale terriër onderzocht. Ook hebben we onderzoek gedaan naar de eigenschappen van de FCI-ras sectie en de FCI-rasgroep waar de Airedale terriër toe behoort. Uit deze onderzoeken zijn, in overleg met vooraanstaande Nederlandse voedingsdeskundige, ingrediënten geselecteerd die de gezondheid en het welzijn van de Airedale terriër optimaal ten goede komen.

Zoethoutwortel

Zoethoutwortel is afgeleid van het Griekse glyks voor Ozoet en rhiza voor Owortel, het wordt dan ook wel Glycyrrhiza glabra genoemd. De oorsprong van de plant ligt in Eurazië, Noord-Afrika en West-Azië. Vanaf oudsher worden er al geneeskrachtige eigenschappen toegeschreven aan zoethout en wordt de wortel vaak gebruikt voor de bereiding van kruidenthee.

Zoethoutwortel zou een verzachtende werking hebben op slijmvliezen en zou tevens ontstekingsremmende en pijnstillende eigenschappen hebben. Daarnaast kan het bijdragen aan het herstel van het maagslijmvlies en zou het goed zijn voor een gevoelig maagdarmstelsel.

Nettle

Stinging nettle is a plant genus of which the large nettle and the small nettle are found in the Netherlands and Belgium. Nettle is known for its cleansing and blood purifying properties. According to various sources nettle is bactericidal and therefore very suitable for infectious diseases. The leaves are also suitable for diarrhea or other digestive disorders.

Nettle supports the functioning of the liver and kidneys by stimulating the breakdown of waste products. In addition, it works to support the dog's bladder and hair growth.

Nettle also contains silica, or silicon. This is a building material that is part of connective tissue in bones, tendons, ligaments, skin, hair and nails, among other things. Silicon supports the natural production of skin (cells) and helps maintain healthy skin.

At Yourdog, we add nettle to our dog food because it can make a positive contribution to preventing breed-specific complaints in relation to the dog's coat, skin and bones, as well as for the purpose of preventing digestive and/or urinary problems.

Wortel

De wortel zoals wij die nu kennen, oftewel de oranje wortel, is het resultaat van vele jaren aan kruisingen. De eerste witte wortels kwamen oorspronkelijk uit Iran en werden in de 17e eeuw door de VOC naar Nederland gebracht.

Wortels zijn een belangrijke bron van vitamines en vezels. Zo bevatten wortels retinol (vitamine A1) en beta-carotine, wat in het lichaam wordt omgezet in vitamine A. Dit is belangrijk voor de opbouw van haarvaten en de gezondheid van alle cellen. De vezels in een wortel dragen bij aan de spijsvertering van de hond. Daarnaast zijn wortels laag in calorieën en goed voor vacht en huid.

Bij Yourdog voegen wij wortel toe aan het hondenvoer omdat dit een positieve bijdrage kan leveren aan het voorkomen van rasspecifieke klachten in relatie tot de vacht en huid van de hond. Maar ook ter bevordering van goed zicht en een gezonde spijsvertering.

Pup, adult or senior?

Om je te helpen bij het maken van de juiste keuze tussen onze varianten Airedale terriër hondenvoer kun je gebruik maken van de volgende richtlijnen. Is jouw Airedale terriër jonger dan 11 maanden, kies dan voor de Puppy variant. Voor een Airedale terriër ouder dan 7 jaar adviseren we de Yourdog Airedale terriër senior. Is jouw hond ouder dan 11 maanden en jonger dan 7 jaar, dan kun je de Adult variant kiezen.

Nutritional advice

Switching advice

Stap je over op Yourdog vanaf een ander voermerk dan adviseren wij de volgende stappen te volgen. Voor de eerste stap voer je 25% Yourdog en 75% van het oude hondenvoer. De hond kan hier gedurende twee dagen aan wennen. Vervolgens voer je 50% Yourdog en 50% van het oude hondenvoer. Het is belangrijk dat je de hond ook hier weer twee of drie dagen aan laat wennen. Daarna meng je 75% Yourdog en 25% van het oude hondenvoer. De hond is nu bijna helemaal over op Yourdog. Doe dit gedurende 2 dagen. Naar eigen inzicht kun je hierna 100% Yourdog Airedale terriër hondenvoer gaan voeren.

Storage advice

After opening the Yourdog packaging, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. Therefore, it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage box or barrel in a dry, cool and dark place. It is best not to put the food loose in the barrel, but put it in the barrel with the whole bag, which you reseal as best you can.
